Good bit of time since I've updated this, mostly because we have been working as much as possible on her. Great progress! We maybe done to the point of inspection by this weekend!

Carpeting is done, Computer carpet cover is done, Dashboard installed, front nose done with fans, trunk installed, license plate and light installed. Door test fit.

I hope to include some picts in a couple days. Right now the only things left are:

Lower dashboard install with side curtains (I'll explain soon)
Seat install
Door final install
Side Mirror install

After that we hope to have her inspected and alignment done. And not too soon after that, we will install the lift-a-dots for the cover and convertible top.

Weekend activities, the rear splash guards went in with out a hitch, or at least I think. The reason I don't know you ask? Well, that would be because I spent all of Sunday creating all sorts of new and inspiring swear words while I installed the Windshield wipers! Yes, Mother was not around. What a pain in the butt it was.

Factory cut holes, my butt! So far, everything that was self drilled has been opened up. But then the wiper holes just took a bit of patience, The real fun I contribute to two things, First over tightening the motor with the muffler clamp broke the seal around the motor, reason so tight you ask? The motor would have so much torque, it kept moving in the clamp. Next problem, the aluminum tubes, I can not stress this enough, but double check the lengths, they must fit snugly into the motor and each crank. First cut I did into the motor was too short and the coil kept binding up, even with less the 1/4 inch visible.

Well, now the motor is fine and I've got the wipers set perfectly. Right now the wipers sit just under the lip of windshield at park, but when in use they motion like normal. And then when done, just a slight push back down, Looks great and out of the way, I just hope it helps keep them down at speed, Noticed mine on my 94 lift up at a speed, at which I will not disclose!

Saturday was of course the windshield day. Took a bit of work to cut the ends short enough, we cut both since the driver side was touching a wire I ran along the top of the foot box. Several installs later, the windshield fit, we marked the holes and cut them. Bolts, well passenger side fit great, 2 minute job, driver side, not so nice. The windshield mount and the windshield it self had a nice 1/4" separation, and fore thought said " Don't tighten them together, you'll crack the body or windshield from the stress". Good thinking brain! So a few washers and a lot of patience, the nut and bolt finally went together. Tight quarters, especially when you are trying to expand the area in there.

Parking brake, DO NOT CUT THE FACTORY CUT!, Ours broke after a few test pulls, so we went back to Ford for another. This time we fit it under seat and cut off only what was needed to fit under seat, and there was a lot more left this time for strength. So far so good.

So this next weekend I bet we will attack the rest of the carpeting in the wheel wells, trunk install and wiring, and maybe the front nose setup with the so cool fans.
