Still don't have a scheduled paint date setup. We are kind of waiting to see when we get the harness back and how long it takes to check everything out. I believe we will try and get it painted before we get the dash done. Lets see what happens or the next couple of days.

I know, I've been bad, we have been real busy
with other things these days. We found another leak in the radiator, again
at the overflow tube. We also found the oil leak we had up front. It was
the Oil Relocation kit on the engine that had a crack in it. So after a
few tugs on it, We broke it in three. So a new one is on order.
We also tried to hook up the P-Brake from Finish line. The lack of self adjustment has made it a very long, difficult task. Kind of works, but I am getting another 2 to 1 hookup from Ford this week, just in case we decide to go back to old reliable Ford designing.
Finally got the Pumps back from Cartech. They look great, I hope to hook them up to see how they fit once I get a few parts from Summit.
Now the fun part, I worked on repairing the wiring harness so maybe I'd get the ability to get computer codes, but no luck. luckily Rob Weatherbie is willing to fit me into his busy schedule to attempt to fix it, or as luck would have it, he has a 91 harness he will sell me if needed! Well, I admit, I screwed it up and take all the blame for the delays. I hooked up a Fuel/Air mixture gauge during one of the test runs this weekend and it was running full rich, but it would quickly fly down to Lean when the engine got to a certain idle speed. So that being the case, we decided to send the harness off to get looked at. Rob said maybe by the end of next week he could have it done!
So that's my story and I'm sticking to it! All things being considered, Dad and I are having a blast doing this project, but now, at least from my view, I long to start driving her around town!

No, We have not fallen off the face of the
earth. Just been a bit busy. Memorial weekend we spent on Motorcycles,
cruising West Virginia. I'm busy working two jobs (got to pay for
all this some how) and looking to start another Full time job in a few
weeks.
So progress has been minimal. We took the radiator back down to get the leak in the filler tube closed again. As well have the AC bracket welded shut where the old hole use to be. No one could see it, but we knew it was there! The Fuel pumps are still not here. Wednesday's Excuse was the welder had put it on the back burner, but they'd move it up. Today they said it was on his desk and would ship it today. Again, I'm not one who bad mouths people, but these guys are so NOT customer oriented. Coming up on 6 weeks now for a half hour job. Can't wait to get the pumps back so I can test them, then can call them up and give them a piece of my mind!
So, the plan is to get the radiator back in tomorrow morning. Filler her back put. Install the AC bracket and get the belts back on. Install the P-brake handle from Finish line. Install a set of side pipes, which showed up from HPC the other day ... So sweet! Then start her up, adjust the timing, correctly this time, and run her around the block abit. VA police ... If you're in the neighbor hood, come on by ... We'll have some nice pastries and such available!
After that, maybe I'll pull the wiring harness back out and wrap it up real nice for final install. Guess we'll be making a call to Mike Mack to schedule it's paint job soon. Can't wait to get her Legal. Oh and another side note to the VA Police Departments ... The plate we have on the way SPDNTKT is not to encourage you too pull us over. We are not lacking in those and find we have ample for the time being, so thanks anyway!

Well, we got her started, started every time
this weekend. Pretty proud of our selves. We have a nice oil leak at the
supercharger to oil pressure stud that needs to be worked out. Also had
a small problem with coolant. Well, lets see, live and learn is all I can
say. I plugged the hole in the return line from the EGR valve, as well
the feed. All I needed to do was take 30 minutes and set them up, but I
didn't. Well after a couple for start stops of the engine, the temperature
finally got hot enough during one run, opened the Thermostat, pressurized
the system and blew my plug right off. What a mess! Doesn't take too long
for the coolant to get everywhere. After a couple of hours, the lines were
on correctly and the coolant was all cleaned up.
Problems still to be resolved, I am not getting
any codes from my scanner. I hook it up, I hear a few relays kick in, but
then nothing comes back. Looking into my wiring. Also another problem is
when the car is started and the clutch is in, she idles pretty good. But
as soon as the clutch is released it almost stalls, or idles really rough.
We tried hooking up the pipes yesterday, but
found that the pipes, which we knew were damaged in shipping to HPC, are
still a little bent at the ends, making it impossible to hook up.
Since I adjusted the timing one of our last runs, Engine seams a lot more tame. It was idling at 2300 at first because of the throttle plate. the plate that holds the throttle cable to the intake, was a bit too far away. So, we improvised. Sounds familiar!
This week we hope to get some stuff resolved with the radiator, which is leaking again, as well I'm going to take the wiring harness back down and trying to see what I missed that could be causing the no Code problem I'm having.
