From the Founder

People hang up their own shingle for many reasons. For me, it was the desire to once again experience the hands-on problem solving that made engineering such a challenging source of satisfaction before I was "rewarded" with an executive position at a larger firm. The specialties ETC offers correspond with my own background, and give me and the ETC staff an opportunity to apply our capabilities to a wide variety of projects. It is particularly important to us that each project nurtures a close relationship with the client, creating the shared goal of a successful outcome.

I have no desire for ETC to be the biggest; I do want us to be known as the best. To that end, the needs of each assignment are analyzed and matched to the capabilities of our technical staff. The progress of each project is monitored closely and work products are subjected to close internal review before being submitted to the client. We will not take on a project if we do not have the competence required, or if for any other reason we will be unable to meet client expectations.

ETC is independent of any affiliations that could tend to bias our observations or recommendations; we have no "hidden agendas." It is our job to serve as our clients' trusted professional advisor. We take that responsibility very seriously.
