Background: Chelsea Court is a residential property that consists of nine (9), three-story villa-style buildings. The buildings are primarily wood-framed structures and are faced with brick masonry and siding. Each building also features one set of stairs with a landing that accesses an elevated unit.

Design approach: Design of the stairwell included complete replacement of nine (9) existing stairs. We designed a new modern stairway that compliments the existing architecture of the community as well complying with the International Building Code (IBC 2012).
