Background: The Park Sutton Condominium is a thirteen (13) story high-rise, steel-framed building that was constructed in 1964 and encloses a total of two hundred twenty-six (226) residential units.  The building features a brick masonry façade, cantilevered balconies, flat roof and a roof top observation deck. The roof top deck was outdated and owner desired to replace it with a new deck.

Design approach: Design of new roof top deck creates a new amenity space with sitting areas, two bathrooms and an ADA ramp. The deck features a trellis structure, planters with integrated benches, cable railing, and green screen walls. We designed a new modern roof top amenity space that compliments the existing style of the building, as well as complying with the American Disabilities Act and International Building Code.
